Named after one of the main and most beloved characters in Chinese mythology, the three-legged toad of wealth. It is believed that it lives on the moon together with the Jade Rabbit, and if you win its favor, it will reward you with wealth and good fortune. It is an essential attribute of altars in all shops and offices of various companies.

If you delve a bit deeper, in Feng Shui science, the Toad represents the Tai Chi Yin-Yang scheme, as it emerged from the water but lives on land. The two symbols, Water and Earth — Heaven and Earth — Spirit and Form. Originally, the toad had four legs, but during the Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD), Daoists came up with the idea that three legs represent Heaven — Earth — Human, and in combination with what was previously said, this signifies complete Feng Shui. Since then, the toad has become three-legged, with a pattern of seven stars of the Big Dipper on its back and two bundles of gold coins on its whiskers. Any image of the Wealth Toad, even without its regalia, as in this case, brings good luck.

The tea was harvested in 2021 in Menghai County, Bulang Mountain area. The taste and aroma are a balanced combination of the dry, sweet woodiness of aged Menghai teas and the rich, oily texture of thick buds. A pleasant, soft interplay of restraint and shifting flavors. It is perfect for both fans of the ‘Menghai’ flavor and those who prefer something richer.”
