Mei Zhan Hong

This is Mei Zhan Hong red tea harvested from the Mei Zhan bushes in Wu Yi Shan, which are typically used to make rock oolongs. As larger leaves are usually used for oolong tea, this red tea is particularly potent. It has a simple but robust and smooth taste, with moderate astringency that does not overpower the other flavors. Its taste is reminiscent of red teas from Tun Mu.
