Chang Xian

This loose Shou Pu-erh variety, called Gong Tin (Palace), was produced in 2004 in the village of Pu Ning, near the town of Lin Tsan in Yunnan. It has a distinctive touch of camphor aroma, which comes from the fact that the tea trees grow alongside camphor trees and share root systems. The tea has a familiar taste to connoisseurs of aged teas, with hints of buckwheat and a strong, ripe flavor accompanied by a touch of dampness and aged aroma. The camphor adds an extra layer of complexity to the taste, making it a beloved choice among fans of high-quality old pu-erhs.
